Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh

The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh is an affiliated organization of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. Their mission is to inspire engagement with Holocaust history and to connect it to today.

Established in 1981, the Holocaust Center serves as a comprehensive resource center that helps people learn about the Holocaust and counter intolerance and hate in all its forms.

Teenie Harris


Through the Lens of Teenie Harris: Activism and Spiritual Resistance, 1940-1970
Through September 1, 2017

The exhibit is both thematic and chronological, covering activism in Pittsburgh from 1940-1970, including African-Americans during World War II, interfaith/ interracial and Jewish women’s involvement in social reforms in the 1950s, and spiritual resistance during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
